Let me share a little bit about myself. I worked in Las Vegas casinos for over 10 years. During that time I was employed as a boxman, dealer floorman, pit boss, and the assistant casino manager. I've seen almost every type of system player, and played every casino game. System players are easy to identify. They never seem to be having as much fun as the recreational gamblers. They take their work seriously and are meticulous about it. They usually try to conceal or cover up the activities they're engaged in to make sure that nobody else notice. There are methods to bet intelligently and remain ahead of the game but it's not as much a system as it is a process and discipline. More about that later. Let me discuss three games that appear to be most played, blackjack, craps, and roulette.

Blackjack is the one casino game in which you can actually make decisions about your playing. This includes betting and the actual game. You decide whether to hit or stand and split and double down... This gives you some control over the outcome in the game. In blackjack the one obvious advantage that the dealer enjoys over the player is that the player has the chance to blow out his hands (go over 21) first. In fact, if all players in the table bust their hands then the dealer does not need to try his or his or her hand. That's a major advantage. Card counting is the sole blackjack technique worthy of mentioning. Card counting allows the player to keep track of the number of cards have been dealt and, in a more precise manner the remaining cards in the deck. The deck is considered to be wealthy in the event that there are more than ten the tens that remain and there are fewer cards than half the deck. This is a great perk for the player especially if there's a lot of Aces. A rich deck increases the player's chances at getting blackjack. Counting allows the player to be aware of how many remaining cards can bust out his hand and he might make his play accordingly. This is a good method. This could give the player an advantage or even bring the playing field to a level. In fact, it does! It is true! Not to be forgotten, the chance of a dealer winning a blackjack has also been increasing. When I first learned about the art of counting cards, it was exciting. This was the chance to earn serious cash. It made sense and in fact, in theory, card counting is the only system which can give you an edge. Why isn't card counting used to increase the profit of blackjack? It's quite simple. It's easy to spot counters for cards. You see, any floorperson or pit boss is aware of how to count cards (at minimum at least to a certain extent). Also, they are able to determine whether the deck is wealthy and if someone increases their bets accordingly. If a counter to a card is detected, there are three options for the house to take. Just leave it alone and let the game proceed and see what develops. They could also inform the player in a polite manner that they do not allow the player to play in their casino. They have the right, as per the gaming commission's rules. They may also instruct the dealer to deal with two or one hand, and then shuffle. This would eliminate any counter advantage. Actually, when I was working in the pits, this is exactly what I did when I spotted an opponent. The most memorable incident I can remember was when a young woman came up to me and appeared serious and focused. I was immediately attracted to look at her game. So much for trying to cover up! I watched the match she was playing on and found that she was the only player in the table. She increased her stake immediately after the deck was wealthy. I turned to the dealer and smiled as I instructed her to shake the deck. It was hilarious. It was so funny that the player actually shouted "Hey!" I just smiled and walked away and instructed the dealer to deal 2 hands and shuffle. The player moved on with her money, and probably would have the same fate no matter where she went. Let's talk briefly about roulette systems. I'm not planning to waste too much time on it because it is an absurd game. There's no way to know which way that white ball will fall on a roulette wheel. I've seen people rummaging over their notepads, writing down God knows what thinking they will be able to predict what they will hit next. The wheel doesn't spin at the same speed. The dealer doesn't set the ball at the exact same speed or at exactly the same location every time. This is just random. When the dealer removes the ball off the wheel, he will give it a small twist to keep it moving, which is why it has a non-continuous spinning speed. It's absurd to suppose that the previous spin could influence the ball's location. Let's consider, for instance an instance when 5 hits twice in one row. How likely do you believe 5 will strike again when the next spin comes around? Chances of five once again winning the jackpot is 37-1 my friend. The odds of any number hitting at any time is always 37 - 1 regardless of what happened on the preceding spin(s). This is something that a lot of players fail to recognize. You don't even get paid 37 - 1 when you hit a certain number. You get paid 35 -1 ! You're already beating! Roulette is the only game that has an opportunity of beating. There is a chance to win the game but that's just luck. There is no way to ensure a win. It's all luck. It is as Einstein stated, "The only way to beat a roulette game is to steal the game." This is true. Do not pay anyone who claims they're trying sell you a system of roulette. These are all scams.

Okay, we have dealt with roulette and blackjack. Now, we must take on craps. It is a complex game, and there are literally hundreds of methods to wager on the game. I will not look into betting systems since that isn't exactly the issue I'm trying to explain here. My main concern is the person who actually believes or tries to claim that he is in control of the way dice roll. The type of person will place the dice in a particular manner, throw them in a certain way and claim that he or she can determine how the dice fall. Do I really need to tell you more? A craps table can be found anywhere between about 8-10 feet in length, and has a solid surface under the felt layout. The dice bounce off and bounce back off the surface at totally unpredictable angles and speeds. There's no one in the world that can have that kind of control. Even the most skilled magicians from Vegas aren't able to perform it! Have you ever seen a magician even try it?" No, of course not.

I want to conclude here that the only valid method I've seen is one that reduces losses and increases wins. This money management system demands a lot of discipline. The method can be applied to any game but poker. This method can be used to stay ahead of the game day after day. It is however a system for managing money not a strategy.
